Megan Shirley – Owner/Director, Pre K Teacher
Hi, my name is Megan. I am the Owner and Director of Willow Tree Learning Center and teach in our Pre-K classes! I opened Willow Tree with the goal of providing a space for your kiddos to have fun and prepare them for the transition into elementary school. My goal is to gain a relationship with each of our families that enroll and have each child feel welcome in our classroom. Outside of school you can find me having fun with my sweet little girl, Colbie Mae. I love music, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. I can’t wait to watch your children grow and spend quality time learning with them.
Kaila Myers – Assistant Teacher
My name is Kaila Myers, and teaching the preschool aged classes at Willow Tree is one of my greatest joys. Watching these small children learn and grow never ceases to bring a smile to my face! I’ve lived here in Star nearly my entire life—I even went to Star Elementary School as a kid! Now I’m happily raising my own family here which includes my husband and three lovely girls ranging from elementary to high school age. I have a background in Elementary Education, and I’m thrilled to be back to teaching after several years of being a stay-at-home mom (another great joy of my life) and running a small cake decorating business. Life has taught me that there’s nothing you can’t solve with a little more learning and a slice of cake!
Lindsey Renwick – Lead Preschool Teacher
Hi, my name is Lindsey. I am so excited to be teaching preschool and pre-k friends again! I recently moved back to the Treasure Valley from Northern Idaho, where I taught Special Education for K-2nd grade. I have enjoyed working with children for over 15 years. My husband and I have 4 wonderful kids! I love anything that involves sunshine, water, music and friends! I can’t wait to meet you and have a blast learning together!
